Temporary Water Disruption At Panalaban Base Camp

Please be advised that due to the ongoing drought season, there is a temporary water supply shortage at Panalaban Base Camp. This might affect all accommodations, including Laban Rata Resthouse, Pendant Hut, Panalaban Hostel, and Lemaing Hut.
During this period, water usage will be limited to consumption only, and shower facilities will remain closed until further notice.
Climbers are advised to bring wet wipes for personal hygiene during their Mount Kinabalu stay. With the cool climate, minimal sweating is expected, making a quick wipe-down a sufficient way to refresh.

Due to the current ongoing drought, there is a shortage of water supply at Panalaban Base Camp. The disruption might affect all accommodations, including Laban Rata Resthouse, Pendant Hut, Panalaban Hostel, and Lemaing Hut.
During this period, water usage will be restricted solely to drinking and facial washing, while shower facilities will remain closed until rainfall replenishes the water source.
Climbers are encouraged to bring wet wipes for personal hygiene maintenance while at Mount Kinabalu. Due to the cold climate, climbers will experience minimal perspiration, making a simple wipe-down sufficient to refresh yourself.
